First camp out of the year

Our two boys are such fun ages right now that we are excited for a summer full of fun. To kick off the fun we did a little one night camp out at a local campsite. Although we didn't get much sleep because it was really winding that night and the wind kept Hunter up, we still had fun and hope to do it often this summer.

Imagination

I love at this age how kids use their imaginations. The boys and I were outside playing when our neighbor's lawn service was mowing their lawn. After watching them very carefully for about 15 minutes Trevor decided to mow our lawn. Using his imagination of course.

Stripling Warriors

Well, for Family Home Evening Trevor asked if we could act out the story of Helaman and the 2,000 Stripling Warriors. We have acted out other stories before, but I was so excited that he actually requested something so I decided to make it extra special and let the boys dress up. This is what we came up with. It was so fun!! We had a blast and found a new favorite story to act out.

Love Story / Wedding Tag

I have been tagged to tell Eric and I love/wedding story. So here it goes.....

WHERE DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND? Eric and I met at the Beach. A guy I had been seeing asked me to come to a Family Home Evening at the Beach for the Riverside Singles Ward. So, I rounded up some girls and we went to the beach and low and behold my future husband was there.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING HE SAID TO YOU? He walked up to my friends and I at the beach and asked, "Are you girls new?" Then he proceeded to show us around and introduce us to some of the people there. He was so nice!! My friend thought he was cute, so I was her wing man and we talked with him.

WHEN WAS YOUR FIRST DATE? Well, 8 months after we initially met at the beach we finally had our first date. It took us a long time to get there, because first my friend liked him and then when that didn't work out we went back to BYU and I tried to set him up with my roommate. Finally it dawned on me that I LIKED HIM. Once he got the courage to ask me out he called on a sat morning and asked if I would go out that evening, but I already had a date that night so we went to lunch. He picked me up 30 minutes later. We went to the Pizza Place in Provo and if anyone knows me that was a good call on his part because pizza is my favorite food. We ordered a pizza and he ate half and I ate the other half. It was love at first pizza sharing!! That night I went on my other date that was already planned, but after that I never went out with another guy besides Eric, he was the one for me.

WHEN WAS YOUR FIRST KISS? About a week after our first date we were at his apartment watching a movie on his bean bag and then the magic struck. Boy was that bean bag a good investment!!! Eric swears I was the only one he kissed on that bean bag.

LONG/SHORT COURTSHIP/ENGAGEMENT? Serious dating starting in January, engaged in May, married in August. We had to do it all and get back to BYU before fall semester, so we did it Mormon Style. Plus Eric was such a good catch I couldn't pass him up.

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED? We got married on August 23, 2002 in the San Diego Temple. Best decision I have ever made! I love my Hubby!!!

WHERE DID YOU HONEYMOON? At a resort in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. It was fantastic!!
